After the overwhelming success of Lookbook Zoo Animals it was obvious there just had to come another Lookbook with amigurumi animals. Since we’re located in Holland, we opted for something less exotic this time, and we looked for something closer to home. Behold: Lookbook ‘On the Farm!
Designer Margreet @knotjeknus got to work for us again, and she designed Freddy Farmer and Francine Farmer (both can be made with one and the same pattern!), along with a fun herd of animals. Meet Clara Cow, Hank Horse, Gus Goat, and Patty Pig! All designs are made with Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous, and stuffed with our very own Yarn and Colors Panda® Stuffing.
Yet again, Margreet has saved us quite some work on these designs! First of all, you’ll make the arms and in some cases the tail. After that you’ll make the legs, the bottom (yes, they all have one again!) and the body – all in one piece. While working on the body you’ll pick up the tail and the arms – so assembling your amigurumi is a piece of cake! Because let’s be honest, sewing everything up isn’t the most inspiring part of the project…
Like always, we’re offering a full kit for each design. We even put together two color options this time! Of course, you can also purchase the pattern separately and choose your own colors. Are you truly inspired and would you rather make all of the members of this cheerful farm gang? You can! Purchase the bundle which includes all five patterns, and get one for free!
Patty Pig really steals the show with her lovely curly tail. Margreet @knotjesknus gave her closed eyes, so it looks like she’s dreaming of a delightful mud bad. You can choose Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous 044 Light Pink or Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous 047 Old Pink for your Patty. And what about a Patty in 026 Satay?! We think that would also look gorgeous!!
You can buy the kit or the digital pattern only. The kit contents:
Hank Horse with his luscious mane and soft blaze even has a real halter! Margret @knotjesknus made this noble animal using Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous in 026 Satay and 096 Shark Grey, but what about a gray horse in 004 Birch? That’s possible! Purchase the separate pattern and get everything you need using our little shopping list.
You can buy the kit or the digital pattern only. The kit contents:
Gus Goat might be the funniest of the gang with his stylish goatee, heavy eyebrows and suborn horns. Will you make your Gus in Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous 002 Cream with accents in 005 Clay? Or will you reverse the colors for your Gus? You can also go for an entirely different color, of course!
You can buy the kit or the digital pattern only. The kit contents:
The leaders of the merry gang are Freddy and Francine Farmer. You can make them with one and the same pattern because of some clever variations in the pattern. They’re absolutely irresistible with their cool overalls and their sweet hairdos. We came up with two color combos in a spicy primary color palette for the Farmers, but we’d love to see what colors you would pick! Purchase the separate pattern and pick your own colors, using our handy little shopping list. What are you waiting for?!

This spotted friend is almost worked entirely in one piece. The only things you’ll need to sew on later are her spots, ears, horns, and udder (which is too cute!). Clara Cow is made with Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous, like the other designs in this Lookbook. Will you go for a typically Dutch, traditional black and white Clara? Or will you make a brown cow, and make your Clara using 026 Satay?

Margreet, also known on Instagram as @Knotjeknus, is happily married and has three lovely daughters. She works as a pediatric nurse in the hospital. She learned how to crochet in 2016 by watching YouTube videos. She started making a number of trial (and error ??) Granny Squares and her very first real project was a beautiful big blanket in which she could use all kinds of stitches.
Not much later Margreet discovered Instagram and gained so much inspiration that her crochet to-do list became very long (sounds familiar, right?). She created her own account and regularly posted her own crochet creations there. She enjoyed the enthusiastic reactions she received.
This is not the first time we are working together with Margreet. In 2020 she designed Lookbook #10 Going Green. In 2021 she helped us out making the first Yarn and Colors Amigurumi collection: Zoo Animals. Now we're ready for a follow up: meet the 'On the Farm' family! Which one are you going to make first? All designs are made with Yarn and Colors Must-Have and stuffed with our own Yarn and Colors Panda® Stuffing.
