Lookbook #3 - WINTER ESSENTIALS

MEET OUR CHEERFUL AND MEET OUR SERENE

For the launch of two of our new yarns, Serene and Cheerful, Marloes (@juffrouw_haak on Instagram) started to design our Yarn and Colors Lookbook #3 WINTER ESSENTIALS.

With our new Cheerful Marloes designed three different patterns that will keep you warm this winter! The CHUNKY CHEERFUL HAT, CHUNKY CHEERFUL COWL and CHUNKY CHEERFUL MITTENS can be worn as a set, but are equally beautiful on itself.

Our Cheerful yarn is a wool (60%) and acrylic (40%) blend and comes in balls of 3.52oz (100 gram) each. Each ball has a yarn length of 131 yd (120 m) and can be perfectly used to make warm and chunky winter essentials, home deco and clothing.

Not only the Cheerful, but also our Serene is brand new to the Yarn and Colors family.

With our new Serene Marloes designed another three patterns you defintely need this winter: The SOFT SERENE HEADBAND, the SOFT SERENE SCARF and the SOFT SERENE SOCKS. No cold feet for you this winter!

Our Serene yarn is made of 100% high quality Merino and that is what makes it super soft. It comes in balls of 1.75oz (50 gram) each. Each ball has a yarn length of 10 yd (110 m) and is used with a 4 – 4.5 mm crochet hook or knitting needles. The Serene is a very versatile yarn which can be used for many different kinds of projects.

The SOFT SERENE SCARF with its tassels is a playful and very wearable design. It’s made from our new Serene, which is 100% Merino, and that is what makes it super soft! It is so soft, you don’t ever want to take it off again.

SOFT SERENE SOCKS

MEET JUFFROUW HAAK

Marloes, better known as Juffrouw Haak, learned to crochet and knit at a young age. She loved watching her mom make the most beautiful things. As a kid she mostly made small projects and all different kind of squares.

It was later on Marloes started sharing her crochet-journey on Instagram, where she can be found as @juffrouw_haak. She makes detailed photo’s of different process steps of all her projects on Instagram. Most things Marloes makes are her own designs. She often combines her crochet work with fabrics behind her sewing machine. As she says herself: I’m never out of inspiration!

What does ‘Juffrouw Haak’ means, you ask? It means ‘crochet teacher’ in Dutch, because the Netherlands is where Marloes is from. In daily life she teaches Kindergarten and as you can guess – she also teaches the elder kids from Elementary school to crochet.

For the launch of two of our new yarns, Serene and Cheerful, Marloes started to design our Yarn and Colors Winter Essentials Lookbook. She made six different patterns that will keep you warm this winter.
