The colours that I have selected to make my designs in, have been stripped back slightly to give the audience the window to see their own colour pallets in mind. Every project designed has been made using the Yarn and Colors Must-Have range. There are 100 shades to pick from, so you will not be stuck for matching to your home interior themes.”
MUST-HAVE CUSHION
Although at first sight of the MUST-HAVE CUSHION the design may look basic.. The texture and gleam from the yarn really gives it that luxury feel.It is finished with slip stitching around the final perimeter of the cushion using a contrasting colour. This gives the MUST-HAVE CUSHION character and can be colour matched to perhaps a statement piece of furniture or theme. Then come the tassels. I kept them simple and in one colour. But, mixing 4-6 colours for the tassels can really make this piece stand out from the crowd!”

MUST-HAVE BOHO WALL HANGING
“The MUST-HAVE BOHO WALL HANGING s made from a 40 cm Rosé gold hoop, and opted for a simple delicate crocheted strip. This is really quick make, and you’ll soon have it up on the wall, either flush, or perhaps outside under the veranda swinging in breeze. You don’t have to be precise with the tassels here, you don’t even need to trim them perfectly straight when finishing off. You can keep it raw, which will really reflect the Boho theme of this Lookbook. The finishing touch for this MUST-HAVE BOHO WALL HANGING for me was the hanger, its worked into the pattern without any struggle and elongates the make, making it perfect for a high ceiling wall or staircase alcove.”

“One of the hoops that I have designed for this Lookbook is the MUST-HAVE MANDALA. Now please do not fret about this look! I know myself it can look too complicated and fiddly, but it really is straight forward. With some firm final stitching on the last round attaching to the metal ring, you’ll be feeling fulfilled! I have written this pattern up to be made in one colour for ease, however you can change your yarn colour at every round. Just imagine a smokey ombré, a pastel rainbow, or something completely outrageous and psychedelic! After all this is yours and it should scream out happiness to you!”

MUST-HAVE TRIANGLE WALL HANGING
“The MUST-HAVE TRIANGLE WALL HANGING is one of my favourites for this lookbook, as it isn’t fussy, but stills gives such a strong statement. As always you can be adventurous and make this in more than one colour, but for me a solid colour works wonders. The MUST-HAVE TRIANGLE WALL HANGING is made of just one 50g Must have and a hoop, its a super quick make.“

MUST-HAVE PLANT HOLDER
“The MUST-HAVE PLANT HOLDER is made using two hoops to give the project some solid structure. This MUST-HAVE PLANT HOLDER can be made in an ombré effect, or simply in one bold solid colour. Making three alike would make a great main wall feature with a mixture of succulents, climbers and cacti would give it that real urban jungle theme.”

MEET LITTLE BUD CREATIONS
My name is Sam Hermes, I am 31 years young, mother to three children. I started to self teach to crochet in 2016 following the birth of my daughter. I have the fondest memories of my little old Nanny constantly tapping her knitting needles magically making masterpieces in a flash. She was my biggest inspiration, I will be forever grateful to her.
Crochet has become a huge part of my life, and I have been incredibly lucky to collaborate with some fantastic companies in the industry, and because of this i have become a full time designer. In 2019 I had my first pattern published in Mollie Makes, followed by 5 issues of Inside Crochet, and Simply Crochet, and now in 2020 I am so honoured to be working with the incredible team at Yarn and Colors to bring you our MUST-HAVES WITH SAM LOOKBOOK.
My mind is constantly busy thinking up new ideas, and I love to experiment with all the colours and textures. You will very rarely see me without a hook in my hand and a notebook scribbling down all my ideas!
My ultimate goal would be to publish my own book with many designs ranging from children’s clothing, to home wear and accessories.
