THE FOUNDING OF YARN AND COLORS.
Yarn and Colors was founded to color the market. We want to make a difference by launching a brand with colorful and well thought out yarn ranges. We can make this possible by maintaining control of all parts of the process.

1. WHO IS KOEN?
Koen grew up in between wool and yarns. With a creative family in the broadest sense of the word, he soon was triggered to start something for himself. And where better to start than in a market that longs for a change?

2. HOW IT STARTED
In the beginning of 2016 it was the right time. Our discontent about the inadequacy of the market to meeting costumers’ needs, the lack of flexibility and the absence of a complete brand fulfilling all demands gave us the final go. Because who does not want to be able to combine all colors of the rainbow? Taking away these obstacles was the start of a new brand: Yarn and Colors.

3. GOING BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD
Color is what lies at the heart of this brand, something that was evident from the start. There is nothing more difficult than finding that exact right color for your project. So the first step for us was to introduce a unique color range. With lots of love and care we have created a color range of 100 different shades, forming the foundation of Yarn and Colors. All of our yarn ranges are based on this color palette, creating an assortment where not only colors can easily be combined, but the different yarns can be effortlessly mixed too.

The second step was to look for real must-haves in the market of wool and yarn. What are the yarns that everyone longs for? With a team of professional knitting- and crochet designers conclusions were drawn quickly: a 100% mercerized cotton in 50 gram balls. Our first yarn, the Yarn and Colors Must-have, was established. But we continued. Sometimes you have those tinier projects, asking for a little bit more flexibility. The answer to this question was the basis of creating our second yarn, the Must-have Minis, little balls of only 10 grams.

4. GIVING COLOR
This way everything around Yarn and Colors got colored in. We are ready to offer you the perfect colors, perfect color combinations and perfect yarns!
