Must-Have Mini CAL - Blueberries
Must-Have Mini CAL - Blueberries
The smallest little fruits of this CAL are up for this week: blueberries! Make just enough for your bowl of overnight oats.
Your blueberries will have a slight color difference, because you will be making them with 059 Navy Blue and 060 Dark Blue. This will give your blueberries a realistic look. These cuties are worked up on a 2.5 mm crochet hook and consist of only four rounds. You won’t even need to stuff them!
Next week we’ll work on a tasty fruit in two different colors. The names of the colorways don’t reveal anything yet, though… What will it be? Stay tuned…
Love, Manon

Blueberries
Colors: 060 Navy Blue and 059 Dark Blue
Make a mr using 059. Sc 4 in the mr and switch to color 060.
Round 1: *sc 2 in every st* x 4 using 060 (8)
Round 2 and 3: sc 8 around
Don’t stuff the berry, but tuck the ends in using the back of a crochet hook.
Round 4: *sc2tog* x 4 (4)
Fasten off with a sl st and cut the yarn.
Baste the yarn through the sts (4) of the last round and weave the ends in.
Roll the berry between your hands or fingers to give it a nice and round shape.
Make berries using a 2 mm, 2.5 mm, and a 3 mm crochet hook for a slight difference in size. They almost look real!
You can use up both colors this week. We won’t be needing them later on in the CAL.
