Must-Have Mini CAL 2 - Eggplant

This week we’re working on what’s probably the best-looking veggie of the whole bunch. This one’s got its own emoji for a reason, right?
We made this beauty using our deepest shade of purple to add a nice amount of color to the CAL.

Please note! Make sure you have a good amount of color 082 left after finishing your eggplants.
You will need it later on in the CAL. You can use all of 054.

Pattern Eggplant:
054 Grape en 082 Grass

Eggplant:
Make a MR using 054. Sc 6 in MR.
Round 1: *sc 2 in every st* x 6 (12)
Round 2: *sc 1, sc 2 in next st* x 6 (18)
Round 3: *sc 2, sc 2 in next st* x 6 (24)
Round 4: *sc 3, sc 2 in next st* x 6 (30)
Round 5 and 6: sc 30 around
Round 7: *sc 3, sc2tog* x 6 (24)
Round 8, 9 and 10: sc 24 around
Round 11: *sc 2, sc2tog* x 6 (18)
Round 12 - 15: sc 18 around
Round 16: *sc 1, sc2tog* x 6 (12)
Round 17 - 21: sc 12 around
Round 22: *sc2tog* x 6 (6)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Baste the tail through the loops (6) of the last round and pull tight.
Weave in all ends.

Base of stalk
Make a MR using 082. Sc 6 in MR
Round 1: *sc 2 in every st* x 6 (12)
Round 2: *sc 1, sc 1, ch 3, sl st 1 in 3rd ch from hook* x 6 (12)
Fasten off with a sl st in the next st and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
Attach the base of the stalk to the eggplant.

Stalk Ch 4 using 082.
Sl st 1 in 2nd ch from hook, sl st 1 in every st (3).
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Tie the stalk to the middle of the base you just attached to the eggplant.

Roll the eggplant through your hands to spread the stuffing. Shape the eggplant as desired.
They’re usually a little bended because they grow towards the sun. ??

You can use all of color 054, but make sure you have a large amount of color 082 left for a pattern later on in the CAL.
